IN SUMMARY

The total body clearance is a measure of the efficiency of all the eliminating organs in metabolizing/excreting the drug. It is the sum of the clearances of all the eliminating organs. It has units of flow rate (volume/time, e. g. L/hr).

The total body clearance and the volume of distribution (the independent PK parameters) determine the elimination rate constant and the half life (the dependent PK parameters)
